What is (SAFE)?

National Security Services Company (SAFE) is a governmental company owned in whole by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and approved and licensed by the High Commission for Industrial Security at the Ministry of Interior. SAEF seeks primarily to develop and upgrade the quality and service provided in private civilian security and is run by an executive team with extensive experience and past security successes, ensuring that clients understand their requirements accurately.

What does (SAFE) provide?

(SAFE) is able to provide 4 main services, which are: Security Consulting Services to its clients and partners through innovative and integrated protocols and solutions in cooperation with the most important experts in the security sector over the world, security solutions, control centers, training, and development services.

With a view to providing the best services to clients, (SAFE) branches are deployed in major cities as part of the company's strategy of being close to clients wherever they may be. (SAFE) also focuses on providing integrated security services with technical and continuous training and supporting security staff in the field through the control center, in order to guide them and monitor their performance on an ongoing basis.

(SAFE) aims to improve the security services sector in KSA. What is (SAFE)'s strategy to achieve that goal?

(SAFE) aims to improve the security services sector: by working to raise the quality standards of this industry in KSA to meet and exceed international levels to establish the gold standard for KSA, in order to achieve this goal, there will be cooperation with all players in the sector, such as educational or security competent authorities, Ministry of Interior represented by the High Committee for Industrial Security, or as companies in the market, by developing technology and creating a single platform for all players to develop the service provided to the community.

How will (SAFE) contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030?

The incorporation of the company is part of the investment strategy of PIF, referred to in the Fund's program (2018-2020), by contributing to the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 through the development and development of promising sectors, the settlement of knowledge and the support of SMEs.

(SAFE) will contribute to achieving PIF's effort to build a diversified local and international investment portfolio that will enhance the strength of the Saudi economy, diversify sources of income, and achieve long-term economic returns for KSA and its citizens, in order to reflect the Kingdom's vision 2030, as it will support the empowerment of the private security sector in KSA, the localization of knowledge in this sector and the provision of jobs, in addition to supporting small and medium-sized companies. What training and development services will the company provide to its employees?

Will the training and development services be limited to (SAFE) employees?

(SAFE) will provide training and accreditation certificates for private security companies operating in KSA. Are these certificates accredited by international bodies?

We are working to ensure that these certificates are approved locally by the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Labor to create a cadre of employment, but we are working to reinforce these certificates by adhering to the latest international standards, and these certificates will be available for obtaining internationally, and there will be a role for (SAFE)Company to reinforce this process in line with KSA.

What are the advanced technologies that SAEF will apply?

SAIF was established to achieve 3 dimensions: the urgent need for some security sectors, those to which the private sector does not contribute, and the reinforcing of the role of privatization, i.e., the conversion of some private enterprises. SAIF will focus on 4 key points: Security consultancy because any security work begins with a good risk assessment, then we move on to the integration that will occur from an operational or technical aspect through the command-and-control rooms to respond and monitor any event. 3^rd point is internationally approved training and development, and finally security solutions, part of which is present in the market, and we will seek to develop the remaining part, not only providing the service, but also supporting the owners of current companies to contribute by providing them with a supporting layer in this sector.

What are (SAFE) plans to empower other security services companies operating in KSA?

The company will contribute to empowering other security companies by transforming private security in KSA and transforming it into an attractive profession by developing clear advantages and career paths, and providing training and qualification opportunities for Saudis through private security companies operating in KSA, Thus, developing the security services sector in KSA by providing professional security training services in accordance with the latest international standards through establishing a center of excellence and security training academies that meet the requirements of the various security guard cadres working in the private sector in KSA.

What is the role of technology in developing the security industry in KSA?

There is a so-called security sense among security staff, and the technology will promote so-called situational awareness, for example, there will be monitoring devices, assessment devices, documentation, and reporting devices, and this will reinforce security. In the past, the employee in charge monitored the screens, but now there is no need for that, as he will be able to monitor more than one enterprise through the monitoring system, which will send a message to the room operator in the control to draw his attention that there is something wrong, now we are talking about the human cadre, but in the future, we will talk about specialists in IT and digitization working in the security sector.

How can (SAFE) ensure the highest standards in providing security services through its employment process and raise its readiness?

We are working on ensuring that this goal is achieved by adhering to a number of elements, 1^st: the selection of our employees carefully according to the highest security standards. The recruitment process goes through setting high standards in proportion to the requirements of clients, and through the stages of behavior and appearance tests and personal interviews, then a security survey and medical examination.

Followed by the training of our staff at the best security institutes, where our employees are given intensive training.

(SAFE) shall invest in technology and by providing the security employee with smart devices linked to employee management software, which ensures clients with electronic monthly performance reports and with transparency that allows the client to know when and where the security man is at all times. SAEF provides communication systems for all security staff, which include beepers, mobile phones, and instant radios that enable clients to contact and communicate quickly, allowing rapid alert and response to any security challenges at the client's site. The company also manages CCC, which are intelligent operations centers that are linked and connected operations centers for smart security staff, project supervisors at SAEF, the Ministry of Interior, and first responders. Intelligent operations center operators shall monitor information in real time around the clock using appropriate technologies including surveillance cameras, autonomous systems (both air and ground), sensor systems, and wireless communications.
